Apple chargers are one of the most durable chargers in the system, with the tendency to last a long time if kept well. Apple Watch all come with a USB code and an original charger.

For some users of the Apple Watch though, whether it’s on a charge connected to the Apple Watch or not, the magnetic charging head gets so hot it almost burns the fingers, which is unusual.

Why does your Apple Watch charger get hot?

Your Apple Watch charger may probably get hot because your Apple Watch charger is defective and either has to be changed or fixed. Visiting your local apple store would be a smart move.

It could also be the USB charger plug that it’s connected to. If it’s defective then your charger is bound to overheat.

Again, you need to also check and be sure that the apple charger you’re using for your Apple Watch is original since that may be the cause. If it happens to be original, then you can proceed to have the charger replaced entirely or partially replaced.

Using a different charging cube too could be the cause of this. It is recommended that you use the only cube provided by Apple. If it happened to be defective, it can be replaced at no additional cost to you, if you have a warranty.
