The Samsung Galaxy S5 has a capacity of 2800mAh. It can be that bad after a full charge, the device will drain completely within 2 hours without you even using it. So, the best thing to do is get a backup battery. At first, when you have your hands on the device, the battery seems pretty normal until some heavy usage along the line.

Some fans may argue that their phones are in good condition whiles some say quite the opposite. To tackle this problem, a few tricks could help curb the fast battery draining :

1. Optimizing Apps

Go to the SETTING and select DEVICE CARE and tap on OPTIMISE YOUR DEVICE and select BATTERY.

2. Uninstalling APPS or UPDATES

Again, go to SETTING and scroll down to ABOUT DEVICE and select UPDATES  and finally UNINSTALL UPDATES.

3. Restart Device & Wipe Cache Partition

– Switch off the phone.

– Press & hold the volume up, power button and home button at the same time. You should feel the phone vibrate, then release the power button and hold on the volume up & home button.

– the android recover screen should appear, release the remaining keys.

– use the volume down key to select Wipe Cache Partition and press the power button to select the option.

– after, select Reboot System to restart the phone.

4. Turn Off Auto-Brightness

Turn off the auto-brightness mode and adjust the screen brightness instead. Screen timeout is equally good to save some battery. If possible, use dark wallpapers as they don’t consume too many pixels and have battery life.
