PhotoGrid was one of the photo collages that were used all the time to create a nice picture and something slideshow content for social media pages. It allows you to put together multiple photos into one and then share them in a more creative and visual way, and for free too.

The PhotoGrid app was owned by Cheetah Mobile, one of the most well-established Android developers in the world and had thousands of downloads. The app has, however, been missing from the Google play store since 2021 and you may be wondering about the reason for that.

Why was PhotoGrid removed from play store

Google has removed about 29 apps for stealing photos from users. Combined, these apps have roughly about 440 million downloads. They were hugely popular apps that had somehow gone against their user policies.

Among these removed apps is PhotoGrid which was also removed for stealing consumers’ photos without them even knowing about it. Customers are being encouraged to uninstall the app till further notice.
