Why we should not charge your phone to 100?

The current form of battery available in all electronic devices such as laptops, mobile phones and tablets is the Lithium-ion (Li-ion). The Lithium-ion battery unlike the disposable battery requires to be recharged to restore power lost.

Apart from the numerous controversies surrounding the Li-ion battery, there is absolutely nothing wrong with allowing your phone to charge up to 100%.

However, in the case of a faulty battery that is capable of overheating, the battery might become explosive and possibly catch fire.

Also, the Lithium-ion battery is not advisable to be left on charge for long (Overcharged), but this is no longer a problem as the current smartphones are integrated with a technology that allows the phone to halt charging as soon as the phone is at 100%.
