American Bell phone was set up by Alexander Graham Bell and Gardner Greene Hubbard, who started the company in 1880. This company was set up through a merger of two companies, the National Bell Telephone Company and American Speaking Telephone. For some parts of the 20th century and before, Bell company had a monopoly on telephones in the United States.

Due to a company reorganization which resulted in the American Bell Company being acquired by its very own subsidiary, AT&T company, the company’s name changed according. As a result of that AT&T now owns the American Bell phone.

American Bell had created AT&T to provide long-distance calls between New York and Chicago and beyond. Even after taking over the Bell company, AT&T also sought to do the same.

In line with that vision, they have acquired several lines from Verizon to better expand their mobility in order to provide their customers with the best data services and on-net calls to several states in the US without additional charges to subscribers.
