Apple has been in existence since 1976. They are a multinational technology-based company that produce various electronics for the whole world. They are well known for their famous iPhone mobile device that has won its’ way into the heart of the world as far as mobile devices are concerned.

Dating far back as the birth of this company, their logo has always included an Apple. Their first logo featured the popular scientist Isaac Newton under a tree with an Apple about to fall on his head.

The current Apple logo was designed in 1977. The duty of designing a less complex logo fell on the shoulders of Robe Janoff. He decided to make a logo that was image-based but not like the traditional text-based logo of most tech companies in the world like the famous HP and DELL.

Why Is The Apple Logo Bitten?

Talking about why the Apple logo is bitten, when Janoff decided to use the Apple image as the basis for the logo, he found that the Apple with a leaf on top looks like the cherry fruit.

On that, he decided to add the bit to distinguish it from other fruits. This is the main reason behind the Apple being bitten.

Even though there may be other explanations for this, according to documentation, the bitten Apple is to make the Apple logo identifiable.
